Relax at one of Eataly’s several al fresco dining experiences this summer. Our favorite floral-flowing seasonal rooftop has reopened, along with a new patio and walk-up kiosk – helping New Yorkers travel to Italy without the stamp of a passport. With colorful atmospheres, extensive cocktail menus, and vibrant seasonal plates infused with Italian summertime traditions Eataly NYC Flatiron is an exciting place to be this summer.
Head up to the fourteenth floor of Eataly to instantly transport yourself to the flavors and feeling of the Italian countryside. SERRA FIORITA by Birreria, the seasonal rooftop restaurant at Eataly NYC Flatiron, has safely reopened with a brand new look and menu – taking notes from the blooming Italian summers.
The menu’s summer refresh incorporates the seasonal offerings by regional farmers at the Greenmarket – like Norwich Meadows Farm upstate to Lani’s Farm in New Jersey – and Italian producers. The star of the show this season: Fior Fiore, featuring seasonal produce served raw in a locally made stoneware flowerpot made by Pandolfi, with fava bean puree for dipping.
SERRA FIORITA by Birreria will also feature a biweekly Thursday special menu called Cene Fiorite. Cene Fiorite will be dedicated to the life cycle of a flower and all of its elements – from whole to seeds, to pollen. Flowers can be used in a variety of ways when cooking and the dishes featured will showcase the both the flowers’ elements and preparation techniques. For example, Eataly’s chef will incorporate sunflower seeds, capers, fiori di zucca and bee pollen throughout the entire dedicated menu. Cene Fiorite will launch on August 13, and is an experience for the whole table to enjoy.
The summer beverage menu is gin-focused, with a ‘Build Your Own G&T’, that lets you choose your gin flavor, tonic and fresh garnish for a customized cocktail creation. The menu also boasts an extensive wine list along with mocktails, spritzes, and frozen cocktails.
To celebrate the resurgence of patio season, Eataly NYC Flatiron has opened their first outdoor restaurant, il Patio di Eataly - La Costa, with seating on both 5th avenue and 23rd street. With a coastal-inspired menu, il Patio di Eataly - La Costa aims to transport guests to the Italian coast, with cool breezes, seasonal seafood, summer bites and refreshing drinks. With a bubble-focused beverage menu, you can take on everything from Spritz’s and Bellini’s to Mocktails and regional Sparkling Wines.
The menu features dishes like the Insalata Caprese inspired by Capri in Campania made with Invincible Summer Farms tomatoes, housemade mozzarella and basil, as well as the fried Panzerotti from Puglia, highlighting a savory dough filled with Così Com’è datterino tomatoes, housemade mozzarella and oregano. Each week, il Patio di Eataly – La Costa will be offering an Aperitivo Regionale, which will be a stand-alone menu featuring a selection of wines and dishes from some of Italy’s favorite coastal regions.
Located on the North Public Plaza across from Eataly NYC Flatiron, you’ll discover the bright Eataly Kiosk, complete with Pizza al Padellino from Torino, a new summer beverage menu and artisanal gelato –sounds like the perfect Italian trifecta to us. Enjoy your favorite pizza with an Italian soda and a view of the iconic Flatiron building. The cherry on top? A cup of Eataly gelato, churned in-house daily.
In accordance with CDC and state protocol, all Eataly NYC Flatiron dining options will be opening with extensive safety guidelines: capacity limits, limited contact with the team, reservations on OpenTable to avoid crowding, distancing between tables, and more.
