Bryant Park Winter Village Returns

By New York Bucket List

Because Christmas starts the day after Halloween, right?

Published October 28, 2020

Starting October 30th, the iconic ice skating rink, open-air holiday market and cozy igloos of the Bryant Park Winter Village are back in all their frosty glory—complete with extra-mile protocols for the COVID-19 pandemic.

The city’s only free-admission skating rink is on the reopening docket, now purely outdoor; closed at night, and with required face covering and online reservations for optimal spacing to enjoy. (But honestly, who wouldn’t enjoy a little more space to whip around - or fumble - on the ice?)

After taking their pre-planned loops on the rink, visitors can kick back in the Lodge Deck by Urbanspace, enjoying views of the rink and elegant Christmas Tree with festive cocktails in hand.

Visitors can munch at the lodge too—or turn their sights to kiosks and restaurants among the park’s euro-inspired holiday market (we’re dreaming of the belgian waffles from Wafels & Dinges). Located along Bryant Park’s allées, plazas, and terraces, the Holiday Shops are housed in custom-designed kiosks to weave amongst for fun or to shop for the perfect holiday gift.

Where: 5th Ave, New York, NY 10018
When: October 30th-March 7th for the Lodge Deck and Ice Skating Rink, while shops are open until Jan 3rd.
