This spring might just be the most anticipated spring in years — and Chicago is bursting with celebratory activities to welcome the warmer weather and vaccine rollouts. We’ve got party cruises over the sparkling waterfronts, reopened world-class museums, even skydiving and the Spartan Race for our more adrenaline-inclined readers.

When the sun comes out during spring in Chicago, it’s imperative to spend as much time outside as possible. The lakefront is the perfect place for a casual stroll, bike ride or little picnic in the park.

Chicago’s Garfield Park Conservatory 2021 spring flower show “Saturation” is displayed February 27th through Mother’s Day, May 9. On July 10th, 125 years of football tradition will collide with 3,000 years of Spartan history on the hallowed grounds of Notre Dame Stadium. Spartan Stadion is a traveling 5km, 20 obstacle race through the world’s most famous pro sports stadiums. You can compete solo or in teams with friends, families, or co-workers, and there are various different races to enter (or take it all in as a coliseum spectator for $10).

Casual fans and true believers alike will be amazed by the MSI’s new exhibit: the Marvel Universe of Superheroes Exhibit. Spread across two galleries, the exhibit features 300+ genuine artifacts, including Tony Stark’s lab, rare original covers and artworks, and the mirror dimension of Doctor Strange. The opening week sold out so quickly that they added evening hours for chicagonians to enjoy!
