Navy Pier has finally opened Offshore, a 36,000 square foot deck that features a patio, indoor lounge, a terrace, and all your dreams come true. Navy Pier obviously holds a special place in every Chicagoans heart, but with a year-round rooftop patio, it may just become the coolest hang out spot with the best skyline views.
Offshore features a full-service luminous bar and world-class kitchen, terraces, seven cozy fire pits, an entertainment and gaming area, and multiple large social gathering spaces. *takes a breath*
The space sits on the third floor atop Navy Pier’s Festival Hall at 1000 East Grand, and offers panoramic, unmatched views of Lake Michigan and the city skyline.
The culinary direction for Offshore will be led by Executive Chef Michael Shrader, a protégé of Jeremiah Tower who is credited as a pioneer in California cuisine. Michael also served as Executive Chef for The N9NE Group, and was the Founder and Executive Chef at Urban Union Chicago. He will focus on seasonal, modern American cuisine with global influences served as small, shareable plates (yum).
As guests will arrive, they will be greeted with vintage series pool tables, a sprawling 100 foot - 60-stool bar, and plenty of space to lounge. There will be a stage for live entertainment that overlooks the city skyline and two private lawns with canopies (which is said to be great for larger groups).
This space is everything we dreamed of and more, we can't wait to check it out for ourselves!
