As cities have shut down, reopened, shut down and repoened, one thing that hasn't changed: our wine consumption. While our wine intakes may have increased drastically during quarantine (thanks to zoom happy hours and general pandemic-stress), nothing beats sipping a glass – or two, or three – outside of your home. Though Nor Cal wineries were some of the first businesses to close down earlier this year, they're also some of the first to make a comeback. See below for some wineries available for tastings right now, and a few we can't wait to get back to.

They always say, start your wine tastings with some bubbly. Domaine Carneros is a Chateau modeled after the famous French Taittinger winery. The grounds make you feel as though you're sitting in the South of France. The Sparkling Wine tasting is perfect to start your day, but if you're coming in after a few stops - swing for the Grand Tasting flight.

Lunch break! Before you head to our next wine destination, stop by the Oakville Grocery for the best tuna salad sandwich ever. Take it to-go and enjoy it at the next tasting (most wineries allow outside food)! Relax with a glass and some deli noshes, you'll most definitely need it.

V.Sattui has their own traditional food marketplace that you can purchase and eat on site. With a collection of award-winning wines, the stone building resembles one you'd find in the Italian countryside. Take a tour and explore the grounds or purchase a bottle and just relax around the winery.

As the oldest commercial winery in California, Buena Vista has perfected their craft. Their history comes through in the wine, the grounds, and the stories. Each popular bottle pays homage to the founder of the winery.
Pro Tip: Get a glass of the Sheriff Pinot Noir and ask about it's history. We'll give you a hint, it involves a Count and some crocodiles!

Firstly, be sure to get the wine tasting alongside the food pairing. Otherwise, you'll regretfully watch someone next to you eating a perfectly toasted naan bread and it'll really hinder your experience (and make you hungry).
The Scribe winery is a beautiful stucco building that pulls you out of the polished California wine country and places you into someones rustic home.
Pro Tip: The Pinot Noir 2015 vintage is one that we happily ship all the way to NYC (its THAT good). Reservations are required.

This wine is popular all over the country, from coast to coast. Robert Mondavi's winery has a minimalist feel to it, with plenty of space to lounge and enjoy the modern sculptures. We'd recommend getting a tour of the cellars and vineyard grounds, the scale of the barrels and linear aesthetic will stun nearly anyone.
Robert Mondavi Winery also holds concerts in the back field, so keep an eye out, because what's better than a concert at a winery? Seriously.
