DO I NEED PPE TO ENTER THE EXPERIENCE?
Masks must be worn at all times except when enjoying a treat or taking a picture. In light of the state-mandated executive order due to Covid-19, all eligible guests must use the state’s official apps, NYC Covid Safe/Excelsior Pass or a paper card to show proof of vaccination (at last one dose is needed) to enter indoor dining and entertainment venues from 17 August 2021 onwards upon arrival at the museum. For guests from outside of the United States, please present proof of paperwork showing that you received any of the eight vaccines approved for emergency use by the W.H.O.
Children younger than age 12 will not be excluded from venues because they are not eligible to be vaccinated at this time.
CAN I TAKE OFF MY MASK TO TAKE PHOTOS WHILE INSIDE THE EXPERIENCE?

HOW HAVE CLEANING PRACTICES CHANGED?
WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO ENSURE CLEAN AND CIRCULATED AIR IS FLOWING THROUGH MOIC?
We have updated our HVAC systems to further comply with the health and safety standards of NY State. Our HVAC systems have ventilation air - also called "fresh" air or "outside" air. The fans we have installed are able to bring in more ventilated air than is required by NYC codes. We designed the systems to operate in a mode that is not only compliant with NYC codes, but above and beyond necessary measures. Rest assured that clean and purified air will be circulated throughout all 3 floors of our experience. In addition, we have fans running 24/7 to achieve more filtration through the filters.
WHAT HAPPENS IF IT RAINS ON THE DAY OF MY TOUR?
Water is great for ice cream production . . . but not so great for keeping phones or clothes dry! If rain is expected during your visit, we recommend bringing an umbrella, and arriving at the time that your reservation starts. We want to minimize our guests’ exposure to the rain and cannot exceed our current capacity limits due to Covid19.
HOW ARE YOU ENSURING THAT STAFF IS HEALTHY PRIOR TO ENGAGING WITH GUESTS?
Before entering the building and clocking in for shift, employees will be asked to:
WHAT ABOUT THE SPRINKLE POOL?
Guests are free to swim in the sprinkle pool at their leisure. For guests who prefer to float rather than swim, we have installed lilly pads for you to lounge on without fully submerging themselves in the sprinkle pool.
IS THERE HAND SANITIZER AND HAND WASHING STATIONS THROUGHOUT THE EXPERIENCE?
ABSOLUTELY! Throughout the experience there are many places to sanitize and wash your hands, including at our entry way, in all our elevators, and other “hot spot” locations.
WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I FOUND OUT THAT I HAVE COME IN CONTACT WITH SOMEONE WHO HAS TESTED POSITIVE FOR COVID-19 AFTER I VISIT THE MUSEUM?

HOW WILL YOU BE MAKING SURE THAT GUESTS STAY SOCIALLY DISTANT?
Groups larger than 10 will be prohibited and there will be markers on the floor to ensure that a safe distance is met. We also ask that you respect others and stay at least 6 feet from other guests. No more high fives, but we welcome elbow bumps with consent!
HOW IS THE ICE CREAM BEING SERVED?
Ice cream will be served by our team members who will be wearing face masks and gloves!
I DON’T FEEL WELL, WHAT SHOULD I DO?
Please stay home and rest up for at least 14 days- we are happy to reschedule you at no cost!
ARE YOU OFFERING REFUNDS FOR THOSE WHO ARE SICK?
