As New Yorkers, we encounter not four, but five seasons each year. Of course, there’s rooftop season (read: summer), pumpkin filled fall, the biting winter, and our reward for surviving said biting winter, spring. Yet possibly the most treasured, and magical season of all is the holiday season.
This particular holiday season, from November 27th through January 10th, Randall’s Island Park will be transformed yet again into a magical wonderland of lights. LuminoCity is bringing its holiday light festival to the city with a brand new theme, countless insta-worthy moments, NYC's favorite food trucks, a gift shop, a glistening 26 foot Christmas tree and more. Simply put, this event is sure to light the night for so many New Yorkers.
With five distinct lands of light art experiences spanning ten acres, prepare to explore, capture and fall in wonder. See below for this year's five lands as well as exhibit renderings.
There’s an air of mystery at LuminoCity. This technicolor land explores everything from rippled ponds and banyan trees to swinging animals.
Continue your journey to the fiery dunes, stretched out in all directions.
Explore a land before time in the Forgotten Ruins. With dinosaurs and tropical plants decorating the scene, trust us when we say this is no walk in the Jurassic park.
It’s tribal time in the Hidden Land of Hria. Culture reigns in this land, welcoming you with a massive temple and 12 celestial statues throughout.
Put on your moonboots to explore the mystical land filled with translucent delights left and right.
The LuminoCity team is prioritizing the health and safety of guests by requiring designated time slots and strict capacities, mandatory masks worn by visitors and staff, temperature checks, social distancing, hand sanitizer stations, single direction pathways and more.
