FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
HOW HAVE CLEANING PRACTICES CHANGED?
Our spaces will be deep cleaned before opening and at the end of the day using official CDC recommended and EPA registered cleaning solutions to fight against the virus
Throughout the day, our team members have been trained to disinfect all touch points immediately after any exposure or contact with guests
Rest assured that each time you enter a space it will have just been sanitized .
WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO ENSURE CLEAN AND CIRCULATED AIR IS FLOWING THROUGH MOIC?
We have updated our HVAC systems to further comply with the health and safety standards of NY State. Our HVAC systems have ventilation air - also called "fresh" air or "outside" air. The fans we have installed are able to bring in more ventilated air than is required by NYC codes. We designed the systems to operate in a mode that is not only compliant with NYC codes, but above and beyond necessary measures. Rest assured that clean and purified air will be circulated throughout all 3 floors of our experience. In addition, we have fans running 24/7 to achieve more filtration through the filters.
WHAT HAPPENS IF IT RAINS ON THE DAY OF MY TOUR?
Water is great for ice cream production . . . but not so great for keeping phones or clothes dry! If rain is expected during your visit, we recommend bringing an umbrella, and arriving at the time that your reservation starts. We want to minimize our guests’ exposure to the rain and cannot exceed our current capacity limits due to Covid19.
DO I NEED PPE TO ENTER THE EXPERIENCE?
Yes. Masks are REQUIRED upon entry and we reserve the right to refuse entry to guests not wearing masks. We ask that you please bring your own mask. Please also note that our MOIC team members guides will be equipped with face masks as well. Masks are optional for children ages 2 and under due additional risk of suffocation.
CAN I TAKE OFF MY MASK TO TAKE PHOTOS WHILE INSIDE THE EXPERIENCE?
Unfortunately, the answer is no. Masks must be worn at all times (even for photos) while inside the experience to ensure the safety of everyone around you. Due to state-mandated executive order, facial coverings are mandatory and required, and we reserve the right to deny entry to guests or remove guests from our premises who do not wear facial coverings at all times. Guests removed from the premises will not be eligible for a refund.
HOW ARE YOU ENSURING THAT STAFF IS HEALTHY PRIOR TO ENGAGING WITH GUESTS?
Before entering the building and clocking in for shift, employees will be asked to:
Complete a digital survey inquiring about symptoms and potential concerning exposure
Have temperature taken digitally (fever threshold is 100.4 F or 37.5 C)
We have also implemented additional safety precautions for our employees such as onsite laundry of uniforms, dedicated locker use, and block scheduling
