Let's Keep It Safe:

DO I NEED TO BE VACCINATED TO ENTER THE EXPERIENCE?
In light of the state-mandated executive order due to Covid-19, all ticket holders that are aged 5 and up are to show proof of at least one vaccination dose. Starting January 29, 2022, children ages 5 to 11 must show proof of full vaccination.

Those aged 12 and older will be required to show proof of two vaccine doses instead of one, except for those who have received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. Acceptable proof of vaccination includes a CDC-issued vaccination card, the New York State Excelsior Pass, the Clear Health Pass, and the NYC COVID Safe App.

For guests from outside of the United States, please present proof of paperwork showing that you received any of the eight vaccines approved for emergency use by the W.H.O.

FAQs

- Can everyone ride the slide?
Guests must be 3 years or older, and 44 inches or taller to ride the slide. There is a Cherry Elevator directly adjacent to the slide where they can take a ride down. It will take you down to the Melted Cave where the slide finishes.

- Are pets allowed in the museum?
Animals are not permitted at the Museum of Ice Cream.

- What is your return policy for the museum of ice cream shop?
We accept returns or exchanges of any unused or defective merchandise within 14 days of purchase. All returns or exchanges must have proof of purchase. Products must be returned in their original condition (unworn, unwashed, and unaltered) with tags attached. Refunds will be issued to the original form of payment. Sale items cannot be exchanged or returned.

- Masks and facial coverings
We encourage all guests to keep masks on in the space if they are unvaccinated. The Museum of Ice Cream will continue to maintain cleanliness standards and will be providing masks and sanitizer upon request.

- Zero-tolerance policy against discrimination, prejudice, bigotry, or harmful speech
At the Museum of Ice Cream, we believe in creating a safe and all-inclusive environment for everybody to enjoy and we do not tolerate discrimination, prejudice, bigotry, or harmful speech at any time. Any violation of this, and you will be asked to leave. Thank you!

- How have cleaning practices changed?

-Throughout the day, our team members have been trained to disinfect all touchpoints immediately after any exposure or contact with guests
- Rest assured that each time you enter a space it will have just been sanitized.

- What are you doing to ensure clean and circulated air is flowing through MOIC?
We have updated our HVAC systems to further comply with the health and safety standards of NY State. Our HVAC systems have ventilation air - also called "fresh" air or "outside" air. The fans we have installed are able to bring in more ventilated air than is required by NYC codes. We designed the systems to operate in a mode that is not only compliant with NYC codes but above and beyond necessary measures.  Rest assured that clean and purified air will be circulated throughout all 3 floors of our experience. In addition, we have fans running 24/7 to achieve more filtration through the filters.

- What happens if it rains on the day of my tour?
Water is great for ice cream production . . . but not so great for keeping phones or clothes dry! If rain is expected during your visit, we recommend bringing an umbrella, and arriving at the time that your reservation starts. We want to minimize our guests’ exposure to the rain and cannot exceed our current capacity limits due to Covid19.

- Do I need PPE or facial coverings to enter the experience?
We encourage all guests to keep masks on in the space if they are unvaccinated. Museum of Ice Cream will continue to maintain cleanliness standards and will be providing masks and sanitizer upon request.

- What about the sprinkle pool?
Guests are free to swim in the sprinkled pool at their leisure.

- Are there hand sanitizer and hand washing stations throughout the experience?
ABSOLUTELY! Throughout the experience, there are many places to sanitize and wash your hands, including at our entryway, in all our elevators and in other high-touch locations.

- Is the museum of ice cream wheelchair accessible?
Yes! If any special accommodation is needed we are committed to ensuring a positive experience for all guests.
