21 Outdoor Restaurants Opening In NYC This Week

Phase Two begins in NYC on Monday, June 22, allowing for outdoor dining.

by New York Bucket List

As the New York weather turns and we migrate back outside, we make another transition into the long awaited Phase Two. Among the Phase Two reopenings are in-store retail, salons and barbershops, offices, and *drumroll, please* outdoor dining. Dining may look slightly different than what we’re used to. However, we’re welcoming any sort of dining these days that doesn’t include views of our apartment’s flex wall and 32” TV. Some safety measures include tables no closer than 6 feet apart, groups limited to 10 people, individually packaged condiments, paper-disposable menus and pre-packaged silverware.

To celebrate the dining scene's soft reopening and get us in the spirit to start drinking spirits (With people! Outside! In public!), we’ve curated a list of 20 restaurants throughout NYC that offer outdoor seating.

TL;DR: Wear your mask. Wash your hands. And enjoy a meal beyond the confines of your 500 square foot apartment.

We may not be able to travel to Paris (quelle horreur, we know), but we can dine at Boucherie which is quite possibly the next best thing. The chérie on top? Along with outdoor seating, they’ve set up dividers between each table for a private and safe environment – santé!

Make your way to the Mediterranean without crossing international waters. This LES gem is straight out of a Santorini storybook, with traditional Greek wine and cuisine. The outdoor space is small with space for only a few tables, but isn’t that sort of the point of all this anyway? Keep your distance and stay safe folks.
