Arielle Charnas's Top 10 Activities For Kids In NYC

by New York Bucket List
Arielle Charnas has become somewhat of an expert in trends. As the creator of Something Navy, she spends time evolving her successful online brand and keeping up with the ever-shifting fashion scene.
As a mother of 2 girls she stays stylish, busy, and of course - up to date on where to go with 2 kids! So, we asked her for spots to spend time with your kids (and the results are in: you'll even enjoy the activities yourself)!
1. Trolls
The Trolls Experience is based around the movie which Ruby was obsessed with when we brought her. They had her dancing the entire time and even put on face paint to make her look like a Troll.
Where: Trolls Experience at 218 W 57th St, New York, NY 10019
2. Museum of Ice Cream
There is nothing kids love more than ice cream so when we brought Ruby to the Museum of Ice Cream, she was the happiest child there ever was. The pop up was filled with life size sprinkle “pools” and you could taste all of the different flavors.

3. The Park

perfect park day with my babies ☺️
The Park is a no brainer for our family when it comes to entertaining the girls. It is close enough that we can go last minute and it always keeps them occupied!
Where: The Park
4. Kelloggs NYC
A kid friendly space that has reinvented breakfast to be an experience at any time of the day! The sky is the limit here. We had Ruby's third birthday here and definitely plan to go back this winter.
Where: Kelloggs NYC at 31 E 17th St, New York, NY 10010
5. Mickey Mouse Exhibit
I grew up watching Disney movies and being able to take Ruby to this exhibit was truly special. The art was spectacular and I loved seeing Ruby's connection to something so close to me.
Where: Mickey Mouse Exhibit at 60 10th Ave, New York, NY 10014
6. Raquel's Dream House
This was a pop up exhibit that was selfishly for my own decorating interests, but wound up being a hit for Ruby as well due to the rainbow staircase, colorful décor and friendly staff.
Where: Raquel's Dream House at 275 Church St, New York, NY 10013
7. Big Apple Circus
Nothing grabs Ruby's attention like a show and she couldn't believe that she was seeing horses, clowns and people juggling all in person while, of course, snacking on popcorn.
Where: Location varies.
8. Bronx Zoo
Ruby is the biggest animal lover and she was smiling from ear to ear while feeding the goats. Nothing warms my heart more than seeing her so excited and happy.
Where: Bronx Zoo at 2300 Southern Blvd, The Bronx, NY 10460
9. Knicks Game
This an activity that Brandon and I have taken Ruby to together and Brandon has on his own. Though she is a true girls girl, she is definitely super sporty and loves going to these activities to spend time with her dad.
Where: Madison Square Garden at 4 Pennsylvania Plaza, New York, NY 10001
10. Color Factory
This is the perfect rainy day activity. We have not had a chance to visit yet but love the idea that it is fun, while still being educational.
Where: Color Factory at 251 Spring St, New York, NY 10013
