The Edge: The Highest Observation Deck In The Western Hemisphere is Open!

Take a casual stroll 1,100 feet in the air 🙀

by New York Bucket List

What's the highest building you've ever stood on? One World Trade Center, Burj Khalifa, or does the daredevil seek something more?

After years of watching this considerably tremendous, immensely massive structure rise up from the Hudson Yards grounds - it's finally opened for a few days in early March. However, due to the coronavirus pandemic, was forced to quickly shut its elevator doors. But as of this week, the highest outdoor sky deck in the Western Hemisphere has officially reopened.

You can soak in 360 degree views with unique vantage points and see the entire skyline city from Central Park to the One World Trade Center. The entire deck is surrounded by frameless glass panels (big gulp) that boldly angle outwards, so hold your heart near as it may jump out of your chest walking onto the platform 80 feet out.

Take a walk across the glass floor in the center of the platform to peek at the life happening below.

With new timed-entry tickets and public health measures created in collaboration with the Mount Sinai Health System, The Edge is open at 25% capacity with all guests and staff required to wear masks. Staff will be taking the temperature of every guest and employee before entering Edge, using a “state-of-the-art, no contact thermal scanners. Hand Sanitizing stations will also be available throughout the experience.

Tickets will be available for purchase online for one-hour time slots to help reduce overcrowding and long lines.

When: Opening September 2, 2020
Hours: 10AM-10PM
Where: 30 Hudson Yards 24th Floor, NY 10001 - Enter at level 4.
