Ahh, August! The final month of summer bliss is here and there’s truly no other way to go out than with a bang. These are the absolute best things to do in Chicago this August. 

Outdoor Yoga and Brunch 

Spend your weekends how all weekends should be spent: with self-care and brunch. Flow beneath the Chi-Town sun for a 45-minute Vinyasa yoga class and end with a hearty brunch from Left Coast.

The Art of Banksy Exhibit 

The Art of Banksy holds the world’s largest collection of privately owned Banksy art! On display are prints, canvasses, screenprints, sculptures, and  many limited-edition pieces from 1997 to 2008.

Seltzerland Chicago 

Trying to determine which seltzer rules supreme? Enter: Seltzerland Chicago. A paradise for lovers of hard seltzers splashing down in Chicago! Spend the day tasting 100+ seltzers and dancing to plenty of music, indulging in the many photo ops and games throughout the venue.

Immersive Van Gogh

Can you imagine being bathed in full-room projections of the animated, jaw dropping works of the legendary Vincent Van Gogh? With the help of 60,600 frames of video, 90,000,000 pixels, and 500,000+ cubic feet of projections, this captivating digital art exhibit merges state-of-the-art technology, theatrical storytelling, and world-class animation. Even if you’ve had the chance to visit the world class exhibit, stop by again for weekly Yoga classes or the ultimate Date Night.

ChiTown Movies 

Movie night just got a whole lot better! Pull up to ChiTown movies for an impressive drive-in movie experience all month long. Movies rotate on a weekly basis and moviegoers can enjoy snacks like popcorn, tacos, wings and more delivered straight to their car.

Neon Summer

Who doesn’t love a good pop up? Neon Summer is a pop up experience located across two acres in Goose Island. There you’ll find Chicago’s only outdoor go kart track, mini golf, axe throwing and plenty of Instagrammable photo-ops.

SUP & Sip 

There’s no better way to end the summer than with paddles and pints! Head over to North Avenue Beach for some stand up paddle boarding relaxation and samples of brews from Revolution Brewing.

Navy Pier Fireworks

Fireworks spark all summer long in Chicago! Head to Navy Pier or catch the show from the lakefront. Every Wednesday and Saturday night Navy Pier puts on this free fireworks show that you don’t want to miss.

Grant Park Music Festival 

Every year Chicago hosts Grant Park Musical Festival – the only free outdoor classical-music concert in the US. Spend a night this summer listening to the captivating sounds of the Grant Park Symphony orchestra as well as many guest performers and conductors.

Taste of GreekTown

Jet off to Greece without leaving Chi town. Taste of GreekTown is an annual culinary festival on Chicago’s Halsted Street. Lovers of Mediterranean cuisine can indulge in foods, spirits, and live Greek bands. Opa!
