- Expeditions depart most weekends at 9:00 AM (Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays) from Mission Bay, San Diego California, returning to the dock at approximately 3:00 PM
*We might return at a different time depending on weather conditions and our guest's preferences

- We may be able to make exceptions for younger guests accompanied by their legal guardians
Expedition Includes:
- Beverages and healthy snacks.
- Guests are welcome to bring their own food and bottled water. Please inform us of any food allergies.
Exclusions:
- Snorkeling Gear: Please bring your own fins, mask, and 7mm wetsuit. Snorkel equipment rentals are available for a nominal fee; inquire at the time of booking.
- Gratuities: Gratuities are never expected but are always appreciated as a gesture of thanks to our dedicated crew.
Difficulty level:
This expedition is suitable for both beginners and intermediates. While no scuba diving experience is required, familiarity with snorkeling and being in good physical shape is recommended.

You'll depart from Mission Bay, San Diego, aboard our flagship vessel, the Aretai, a custom-built 25" RIB boat designed for comfort, stability, and a smooth ride over offshore waters. This intimate experience allows us to seek out blue and Mako sharks, all while maintaining high safety standards and preserving the natural habitat of the wildlife.

What to consider
Recommendations:
We recommend you bring a warm set of clothes and a towel (Layering works great) We’ll be most of the day under the sun so please bring reef-safe sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat.
If prone to seasickness we recommend you to take a dose of seasickness medicine the night before your expedition and another one 30 minutes before the trip. Â
Please note our Zodiac boat cruises at 15+ mph and although our Captain will maneuver to avoid 'bumps' there's always the possibility to encounter unexpected rough seas. With this in mind, we do not recommend our expeditions for people with back or neck problems.
