About The Event:

Caifanes is a Mexican rock band. After forming in Mexico City in 1987, the group achieved international fame during the late 1980s and early 1990s with their unique blend of British new wave, progressive rock, and Latin-influenced sound. Led by vocalist Saúl Hernández, Caifanes' dark, somber lyrics and style has led to hits like "Afuera," "La Célula Que Explota," and "Viento.” The band has also toured extensively in the U.S. and Mexico, and once opened for The Rolling Stones.

CAFÉ TACUBA IN CONCERT:

Grammy-winning Latin rock outfit Café Tacuba has been wowing audiences with their eclectic sound and adrenaline-fueled live shows ever since their self-titled 1992 debut album first made them superstars in their native Mexico. Since then the band has won over fans around the world with their dynamic blend of rock, electronica, and folk music traditions, becoming one of Mexico’s chief modern musical exports in the process. At their live shows the band delivers their celebratory music with energy to spare, amping the audience up with call-and-response vocals and dramatic builds and releases. Even though they sing exclusively in Spanish their catchy choruses and infectious rhythms transcend language, appealing to fans of all nationalities. Whether they’re encouraging ticket buyers to clap along to the anthemic “Los Pajaros” or busting out solos on exotic indigenous instruments, Café Tacuba always delivers high-energy sets that fuse wildly diverse sounds into one cohesive and unforgettable concert experience.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Café Tacuba formed in Mexico City in 1989 while singer Ruben Albarran and guitarist Jose Alfredo Rangel were studying graphic design at the city’s Metropolitan Autonomous University. The band’s early sound was heavily influenced by British new wave bands like The Cure and The Smiths, but soon they were incorporating Mexican and indigenous influences to represent their heritage. After performing mostly in garages in the suburban neighborhood of Satelite the group became a fixture of the burgeoning music and arts scene surrounding the Coyoacan area of Mexico City. Their self-titled 1992 debut album combined genres like punk, ska, and hip hop with regional Mexican styles like bolero and ranchera, spawning five popular singles and earning them a Premio Lo Nuestro award for Video of the Year (“Maria”). A string of successful albums followed including 2003’s Cuatro Caminos, which won a Grammy for Best Latin Rock/Alternative Album. In addition to their celebrated recordings the band is a touring juggernaut known for their explosive live performances, and they continue to impress every time they hit the road.

What to consider

What are the parking options at Levitt Pavilion Denver?

Ruby Hill Park has several internal parking lots available to Levitt Pavilion concert goers. However, the park is home to several other amenities and we want to remind concert goers that several of these lots will be used for other purposes on concert dates. Much of our parking will be done on Ruby Hill Park Road which will be a one way thoroughfare on concert days. We require all cars to enter our park on Jewell avenue, travel northbound and follow signs and our flaggers who will direct you on the best place to park. If you require ADA parking, please tell our attendant upon entering and they will direct you to these spaces. Around the park, there are several on street parking spaces available. We ask you to park within the industrial areas on the north and south of the park and to refrain from parking in the neighborhood to the west. The Ruby Hill neighborhood has been accommodating and welcoming to our presence and we ask our attendees to be respectful, with this request as well as when leaving the concert. While there are several free options to park in and around the park, for select concerts you may also choose to pay a small fee to park in a nearby businesses lot. These lots are owner operated and not affiliated with Levitt Pavilion Denver. Lyft, the fastest growing rideshare company in the U.S., and Denvers newest outdoor concert venue, Levitt Pavilion Denver, have teamed up to offer concertgoers a seamless transportation option to the venue, focusing on passenger experience and safety. Rides will queue at the top of the park, only a short walk from Levitt Pavilion's new state of the arts stage, making Lyft a quick and easy way to exit the park
