A guide to your best day in the Coney Island sun; hint: it involves beers 🍻🎡

by New York Bucket List

The Wonder Wheel is spinning again at Coney Island! After our year indoors, New Yorkers can return to enjoying warm summer nights with a Nathan’s hot dog under the roaring Cyclone—as nature intended. The boardwalk is back for prime people watching, the rides are humming, and the expansive Coney Island Brewery is open for the perfect day party to kick off a summer of freedom. Because these activities are best paired with a beer in hand, find where you can find a pack here.

Here’s the scoop on what’s going on with Coney Island’s spots and events coming up to help make the most of your day America’s playground:

The Brooklyn Cyclones start offering vaccinated fans seats at Maimonides Park THIS week. The field neighbors the Coney Island Brewery, providing stunning views of the beach, the glowing amusement park rides, and the iconic Parachute Jump – all in one!

And while technically not in Coney, you can now scoot over to Citi Field and sip on a Mermaid Pilsner, as CIB is now the proud partner of the Mets, who are also opening up their stadium to limited guest capacity.

Bask on the Beach

With nearly 3 miles of sandy beaches, Coney Island's sunny skies and rolling waves make for the perfect getaway after our particularly dreary winter. Grab your extra dose of sun this summer! Bring your towel, sunscreen and of course, some beer. You know, the essentials. For the perfect beachside companion, we recommend the Coney Island Brewing Company’s Beach Beer, a crisp and refreshing ale, with a light body and hint of citrus. In fewer words: summer in a can.

Ah, nostalgia! Funnel cakes, cotton candy, and glittery carnival games galore make for some prime childlike joy at any age. Hit up Ruby’s, La Tombola or Doña Zita’s to complete the classics trifecta.

Coney Island Brewery

When you’re ready to wash down the funnel cake and cool off from some well deserved beach time, the Surf Ave. Coney Island Brewery is just steps from the boardwalk. Share pints—or flights of beer—with friends in their expansive beer garden, or grab a cold 4-pack to-go!

Coney Island Brewery is truly pulling out all the stops for summer 2021, with an epic event and beer release schedule. Beer, Here! Their sunflower gose will be released just in time for baseball season on May 28th. Out now is the Pink Lemonade Nutcracker–a true summer staple–with Fruit Punch Nutcracker following in July and Mango Madness Nutcracker in June. Also, don’t miss the launch of Summer Solstice Ale on June 18th, an out-of-this-world release in partnership with Sanctuary  featuring apricot and thyme just in time for Gemini, Cancer & Leo season!

And if you can’t make it in to debate the Merman IPA vs. Mermaid Pilsner in person, sooth your FOMO by ordering menu items and merch from their e-store, where you can get beer delivered to you throughout the state of NY.
