There is such a thing as too many options. New York City has some of the best bars and restaurants the world has to offer, and almost all of them have happy hour deals. So how could you possibly decide where to go for those much-needed after-work drinks?

We can help with that! Here’s our definitive list of the best happy hour spots in the Big Apple.

Union Square Cocktail Club

Join the Union Square Cocktail Club, taking place at The High Note, a quirky cocktail bar with eclectic décor just steps from Union Square. This old-timey tavern with a brick and wood interior has upscale bar bites, premium cocktails, draft brews, and a cool vibe. The Cocktail Club is $30 for unlimited premium cocktails, so it's the perfect spot to get your fill and unwind after a long day.

Pieces Bar

Greenwich Village

Why spend your evening at a boring bar when you could be sipping strong $6 drinks while enjoying a wild drag show? Pieces is the ultimate gay bar and they haver the ultimate happy hour to match. Monday through Friday snag $6 wells, beer, and wine, and kick it up a notch on the weekends with $6 margs, mimosas, and bloody marys.

If you’re looking to end your stressful work day with some American comfort food in a casual environment, look no further than Westville, where you can grab $8 house wines, sangrias, and their unique sake margaritas.

This sexy spot is known for its art, Asian tapas, and legendary lychee martinis, which you can try for just $8 during happy hour!

This extremely vibey Korean restaurant has some of the best views of the city you can find while sipping on some incredible cocktails. Plus, they even have the occasional comedy show or live music set!

West Village

You’ll feel like you teleported to Europe as soon as you step into this chic wine bar. Their huge selection of natural wines are all just $13 by the glass every day from 4pm to 7pm, and they all pair amazingly with their elevated $10 snacks including cheeses and chicken liver mousse.

Bibi Wine Bar

East Village

Don’t worry — Bibi happy! This relaxed wine bar is women-owned and all about the vino. They wanted to make wine accessible to everyone (no bottle costs more than $60!) and their happy hour proves it; select bottles are just $28, with a daily white and red by the glass for $8. If wine isn’t your thing, they also have beer and cider for $5. Oh, and did we mention they have small plates for just $10?

Crown Alley


This quirky bar may be narrow, but people come from far and wide to try their food and beverages. With $1 oysters and $8 cocktails during their daily happy hour, who could blame them?

Upper East Side

This cool coffee-shop-meets-wine-bar is the perfect place to unwind from a hectic day, sample a few glasses of vino, and maybe enjoy some live music. They have one of the longest happy hours in the city, with $9 glasses of wine and $10 cocktails from noon to 8pm every weekday.

East Village

This trendy bar takes happy hour a step further by offering buy-one-get-one drinks every day from 4pm until 7pm. Make sure you book a rideshare home from this one!

Mermaid Inn

Upper West Side

The Mermaid Inn looks like a cozy New England fish shack — and that’s exactly what it is. Come for the incredible happy hour that includes oysters and little neck clams for just $1.25 each, beers for $6, and wine and cocktails for $9, but stay for the incredible hospitality and all-around good vibes.

This vintage-inspired eatery boasts a daily happy hour (that isn’t ridiculously early) and it includes a huge selection of comfort foods, cocktails, and beer and wine options. What more could you want?

Ama Raw Bar

East Village

Lots of places in NYC do dollar oysters, but Ama Raw Bar may do them the best. This romantic little hole in the wall also has some sexy drinks for just $10 during their daily happy hour, like the lychee martini and the spicy palawan. There are also $1.50 oysters until 7pm.

This Mexican hotspot is famous for their colorful rooftop and hand-painted murals. Take in all the good vibes while chowing down on tacos and enjoying $10 frozen drinks every day until 6pm!

If you’ve got a hankering for some killer Italian, look no further than Parm. With several locations across the city, it’s easy to stop by their happy hour for $6 snacks and some great drink deals, too!

Park Slope

Miti Miti is a fun little Mexican spot in Park Slope, but it packs a big punch when it comes to their happy hour. Do yourself a favor and go try their specialty margaritas for just $10

Times Square

This Manhattan hotspot is all about F-U-N. The amusement park-themed rooftop bar at the Moxy has something for everyone, from mini golf to a rotating carousel seating area. But the biggest draw is their incredible happy hour with $10 pizzas and steep discounts on the usually-pricey drinks.

This hidden gem looks like a modern industrial temple, and you’re going to want to try every single one of their delicious spicy noodle dishes. Of course, you’ll need something to wash them all down — luckily if you stop by during happy hour, they have half price Thai beers and $5 sake and cocktails.

This Korean gastropub nails everything from the delicious food to the stellar drinks to the clubby ambiance. It definitely isn’t your typical dive bar. Their happy hour is the perfect opportunity to sample their finger-licking food and try their handcrafted cocktails at a discount.

Yours Sincerely calls itself a “cocktail laboratory,” and that feels about right. These folks are like mad scientists when it comes to drinks, and you can try their concoctions for $6 from 5pm to 7pm daily.

Maison Premiere


This precious Williamsburg cocktail bar is all about atmosphere. The New Orleans style settling has one of the cutest gardens in the city, and you’re never going to want to leave once you start in on the oyster happy hour.

Gran Torino


Gran Torino has some of the best outdoor space in Williamsburg. Their happy hour includes $7 house red, rosé, white wine, as well as prosecco. All tap beers are reduced by $2, and all well drinks are $8. Cocktails are discounted at $10. Wines by the bottle are half price. You can also get a Margherita pizza and a bottle of house red, white, rosé, or prosecco for $30.
