Miami's Ultimate 2023 Summer Bucket List
Summer has arrived in the Magic City. 😎🌴
by Miami Bucket List
While the Miami climate may have us in a summery mindset 365 days a year, there’s something about the season between May and August that just hits differently.
From rooftop drinks and party dinners to baseball games and beach days, summer in Miami is packed with fun things to do. We've rounded up the best summer events this year so you can make the most of sunny days and warm nights!
The Best Things to Do in Miami This Summer
Explore Biscayne National Park
Biscayne is just 20 miles out from Miami, yet feels worlds away. It's a natural sanctuary that preserves aquamarine waters, emerald islands, and vibrant coral reefs—with a rich history spanning over 10,000 years, from prehistoric tribes to shipwrecks. Whether you're a boating, fishing (or even lobster-ing) enthusiast, a canoer, or a diver, this peaceful oasis has something for everyone.
Where: 9700 SW 328th Street, Sir Lancelot Jones Way, Homestead, FL
See the Hot Summer Nights Tour
Summer means outdoor concert season! Multi-GRAMMY Award-winners TLC and Shaggy are joining forces to bring decades of their most beloved hits to Bayfront Park on June 3. The star-studded Hot Summer Nights Tour will also feature performances from special guests En Vogue and Jamaican icon Sean Kingston. Bonus: Get up to 47% off tickets when you book through Bucket Listers!
Where: FPL Solar Amphitheater at Bayfront Park: 301 N Biscayne Blvd., Miami, FL
Go to a Marlins Game
Cheer on the Miami Marlins at LoanDepot Park, where you can enjoy stunning skyline views and a vibrant atmosphere. This season, look out for Flashback Fridays for every home game, celebrating 30 years of Marlin baseball with alumni appearances, a memorabilia museum, and more.
P.S. If you’re feeling brave, grab seven of your hungriest pals and eat the Cubano Gigante, the largest Cuban sandwich in Miami! (Section 40 Goya La Cocina).
Where: 501 Marlins Way, Miami, FL
Swim at the Venetian Pool
Beat the Florida heat and indulge in a trip to the Venetian Pool in Coral Gables. This iconic pool boasts over 820,000 gallons of fresh spring water, refilled daily from an underground aquifer. Swim under two magnificent waterfalls and explore the enchanting cave-like grottos for a unique experience.
With a tropical backdrop and Mediterranean-inspired architecture, the Venetian Pool is a beautiful destination for a family outing (they also have children’s pools) or simply a relaxing day by the water.
Where: Venetian Pool, 2701 De Soto Boulevard, Coral Gables, FL
Explore Vizcaya Gardens
Summer and garden parties go hand and hand, but let’s skate it up with some Miami flair. Vizcaya is an Italian Renaissance villa with formal French gardens surrounded by acres of tropical hammocks just south of downtown Miami. The estate features 10 acres of greenery, Mediterranean-style architecture, and stunning waterfront views. There’s a walled secret garden, a hedge maze, an outdoor tea room, and so many more spots to explore, so we recommend making a day of it.
Where: 3251 South Miami Ave., Miami, FL
Grab a Late Night Cocktail at Giselle
Giselle is a new luxury restaurant perched on the top of Nightclub Eleven in downtown Miami. Check out the decadent menu, blending Asian, Mediterranean, and French-inspired cuisine, and make sure to try one of the elevated cocktails served late into the night.
Where: 15 NE 11th St, Miami, FL
See the Miami Beach Fireworks
Celebrate The Fourth with Fire on the Fourth in Miami Beach! The event includes live music on multiple stages, a roller disco, circus performers, and delicious food and drinks in and around Miami Beach Bandshell. And, in signature Independence Day fashion, the event culminates with a drone show and fireworks display at 9 PM over the ocean.
Where: 7275 Collins Avenue, Miami Beach, FL
Book a Party Dinner
Gather the crew and go out to eat at one of Miami's best restaurants. Our top picks for group dinners include Mayami Miami, Seaspice, Kiki on the River, and Bagatelle. Perfect for birthday celebrations, bachelorette parties, or just enjoying summer nights with your besties!

Explore the Pérez Art Museum
Escape the heat and wander through the stunning contemporary exhibits at PAMM. Now on view is “Love is Calling,” a spectacular infinity mirror room by artist Yayoi Kusama. Attend Miami Swim Week

From mouthwatering Sonoran tacos to juicy cheeseburgers, steaming chicken ramen, to veggie paella, your perfect bite is waiting for you.
Where: 2600 NW 2nd Avenue, Miami, FL
Work from Freehold Miami
If only summer still meant a three-month vacation from work like it did in school. Unfortunately, that's not the case for most of us, but for the lucky laptop workers, you can still enjoy some summer vacay vibes with sunshine, Cuban coffee, and artistic decor when you work from the uber-trendy Freehold Miami! The sprawling space (10,000 sq ft) includes three bars, a courtyard and stage, a streetside cafe, and a 1970s NYC-inspired pizza shop.
Where: 2219 NW 2nd Ave., Miami, FL
Cool Off with a Boozy Ice Cream
No longer will you need to choose between ice cream or drinks for a first date! Aubi and Ramsa have made premium liquor-infused ice cream and sorbet bundles for of-age Miami residents. All of their flavors are infused with 4.9% alcohol, and the shop is set up like a bar, selling creative pints such as the White Russian, a coffee liqueur ice cream made with Belvedere Nola and English toffee bits, and Mango Mai Tai, a mango sorbet made with Don Papa rum.
Miami Beach: 440 Española Way, Miami, FL
Miami Design District: 172 NE 41st. Street, Miami, FL
Go On an Art Deco Walking Tour
This is the perfect activity for architecture lovers. Check out a variety of styles — Art Deco, Mediterranean Revival, and Miami Modern (MiMo) — found throughout the restaurants, homes, hotels, and commercial buildings in the Miami Beach Architectural Historic District.
Where: 1001 Ocean Dr, Miami Beach, FL
Visit a Cat Lounge
Looking to escape the sun and enjoy an indoor activity (that involves cuddling kittens)? The Cat's Meow Cafe is a unique and cozy place for cat lovers to relax and play with adoptable kittens while enjoying coffee, tea, and vegan snacks. The cafe partners with local animal shelters to provide a home for cats in need of adoption. That being said, there’s no pressure to adopt, and the space allows for several kittens at once, so you can really form sincere and personality-matching bonds.
Where: 7541 Biscayne Blvd, Miami, FL
