Movie Theaters across the US Will Offer $3 Tickets for National Cinema Day

by Bucket Listers
National Cinema Day is a brand new event making its debut this Saturday, September 3.
Catch movie titles like “Bullet Train,” “Thor: Love and Thunder” and “Where the Crawdads Sing” for less than the cost of a bucket of popcorn in major cities across the US including NYC, Chicago, San Francisco, Philly, Austin, Miami, and Houston.
The pandemic delivered a blow to cinema, but with more and more businesses opening back up, theaters saw a record-breaking return this summer.
As a ‘thank you’ to moviegoers, the Cinema Foundation, a non-profit arm of the National Association of Theater Owners, announced a nationwide discount day on September 3.
“We wanted to do something to celebrate moviegoing,” said Cinema Foundation President Jackie Brenneman.
Ready to get your tickets? Here’s how:
- Enter your zip code into nationalcinemaday.org
- Choose a theater from the list (major theaters like AMC and Regal Cinemas are participating)
- Choose your movie and checkout directly from the website
- Done!
Bonus: Saturday's showings will feature exclusive previews from upcoming movies, and AMC will offer a fountain drink and popcorn cameo combo for $5 plus tax.
