The Rooftop at Pier 17 is about to get a major transformation. Back for its second year, Disney’s The Santa Clauses’ Winter Wonderland will return to Manhattan, and the event promises to be even bigger and better than last year’s.

The expansive, 65,000 sqft. rooftop space is more than double the size of last year’s event, allowing for more activities, expanded dining capabilities, and unmatched views of the city and waterfront. Here's everything to know about the new improved attraction this winter.

Winter Activities

New this year is the addition of Manhattan’s only rooftop skating rink. Visitors will have the unique opportunity of skating with a view as they glide into the holiday season while taking in breathtaking panoramic views of the city's iconic skyline.

You can also race down the enchanted slide in the sky—perfect activities for enjoying some quintessential outdoor winter fun.

 

Food & Dining Options

When guests are ready to warm up, they can head to The Gingerbread House, an indoor/outdoor bar serving up seasonal treats, cocktails and mocktails, mulled wine, hot chocolate, naughty-or-nice eggnog, and more. You can also visit Mrs. Claus’ candy bar and fill up your stockings with goodies or grab a hot drink from Judy’s Hot Cocoa-inspired café.

For those interested in a cozier, more intimate experience, cabins are available for advanced reservations. These stunning glass cabins are equipped with heating and TVs, and guests can order from a full food menu filled with holiday-themed appetizers and entrées, including s’mores.

If you’re a brunch person (who isn’t?), don’t miss the signature Santa’s Brunch every Saturday and Sunday through December.

 

More Holiday Attractions

Apart from all the holiday treats and winter activities, the entire rooftop will be decked out in twinkling lights, dazzling trees, and, of course, unforgettable views. Make sure to grab a photo in Santa’s Sleigh, which overlooks the East River and Brooklyn Bridge.

You can also grab a cozy seat by Santa’s fireplace in the living room, which will look familiar to fans of Disney’s The Santa Clause, or experience the hustle and bustle of Santa’s Toy Shop. Maybe most importantly, though, guests will have a chance to meet Santa Claus himself. Every weekend leading up to Christmas, St. Nick will be making appearances at The Santa Clauses Winter Wonderland, and if you’re lucky, you’ll get to tell him what’s on your holiday wish list.

 

When & Where

The Santa Clauses' Winter Wonderland at Pier 17 opens on November 22, 2023, and runs through January 5, 2024, at The Rooftop at Pier 17. Multiple times are available daily.
