While it may only be beginning to feel like spring, Summertime Chi will be here before you know it, and we’re looking forward to everything that comes with it: long days on the water, lively street festivals, and of course, outdoor movies at Millenium Park.
The Millennium Park Summer Film Series has been a beloved tradition in Chicago for over a decade, and it draws thousands of visitors each year. With the night sky and the city of Chicago as the backdrop, the atmosphere is hard to beat. The program is slated to return this July and typically features a diverse mix of films, from timeless classics to modern favorites and documentaries to kid-friendly screenings.
What to Know About The 2023 Outdoor Film Series
This year's series will run from July 11 through August 29, with screenings taking place every Tuesday evening at 6:30 pm.
All screenings will take place on the Great Lawn in Millennium Park and will be presented on a state-of-the-art, 40-foot LED screen.
As always, the event is FREE and open to the public!
Attendees can grab a seat at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion or bring their own blankets and chairs to the Great Lawn. Make sure to arrive early to secure a good spot! Food and drinks are allowed, so feel free to pack a picnic or snacks to enjoy during the movie!
All movies will be screened on Tuesdays at 6:30 pm.
