Sundown Cinema is back for another season, offering seven outdoor movies across seven different parks throughout San Francisco. SF is known for its range of outdoor activities, but when it comes to soaking up summer nights and taking in the scenery, an outdoor film accompanied by live music, good eats, and laid-back vibes may just top our list.

Now in its fifth season, this outdoor film series will feature local food, drinks, music, themed pre-show entertainment, and of course, a diverse movie lineup that celebrates the unique character and beauty of San Francisco and its parks! So pack a blanket and come hungryβ€”here's everything you need to know to make the most of this highly anticipated event.

Admission

As always, the event is FREE and open to the public! However, attendees are encouraged to RSVP to an event for the chance to win reserved seating and prizes. If you’re a member of the park alliance, you can secure reserved seating.

 

When & Where

This year's series will run from Thursday, June 8, and continue through Friday, October 20. Doors open at 6:00 pm, and movies begin at sundown (typically between 8 and 8:30 pm). Each movie will take place in a different park in the Bay Area. See the schedule and lineup below!

 

Details

Attendees are free to bring a blanket to spread out on, just make sure to arrive early to secure a good spot! Food and drinks are allowed, so feel free to pack a picnic or snacks to enjoy during the movie!

Friday, June 30: Top Gun 2: Maverick at Presidio
Friday, July 21: Moana at Crane Cove Park
Friday, August 18: Mamma Mia! (Sing-Along) at Dolores Park
Friday, September 8: Black Panther: Wakanda Forever at India Basin Shoreline Park
Friday, September 29: Legally Blonde at The Ferry Building
Friday, October 20: Ghostbusters (1984) at Jerry Garcia Amphitheater
