Sundown Cinema is back for another season, offering seven outdoor movies across seven different parks throughout San Francisco. SF is known for its range of outdoor activities, but when it comes to soaking up summer nights and taking in the scenery, an outdoor film accompanied by live music, good eats, and laid-back vibes may just top our list.
Now in its fifth season, this outdoor film series will feature local food, drinks, music, themed pre-show entertainment, and of course, a diverse movie lineup that celebrates the unique character and beauty of San Francisco and its parks! So pack a blanket and come hungryβhere's everything you need to know to make the most of this highly anticipated event.
What to Know About Sundown Cinema 2023
Admission
As always, the event is FREE and open to the public! However, attendees are encouraged to RSVP to an event for the chance to win reserved seating and prizes. If youβre a member of the park alliance, you can secure reserved seating.
When & Where
This year's series will run from Thursday, June 8, and continue through Friday, October 20. Doors open at 6:00 pm, and movies begin at sundown (typically between 8 and 8:30 pm). Each movie will take place in a different park in the Bay Area. See the schedule and lineup below!
Details
Attendees are free to bring a blanket to spread out on, just make sure to arrive early to secure a good spot! Food and drinks are allowed, so feel free to pack a picnic or snacks to enjoy during the movie!
