About the events:
Wine and Cheese 🧀
Join us for Wine & Cheese Tastings, a delightful event featuring four different vintages and cheeses. Our Lead Wine Instructor, Rick Berubé, will guide you through the tasting and share his extensive knowledge of local and craft cheeses. As the evening progresses, take in the beautiful city views and sunset from our spacious venue.
Each wine and cheese tasting event of this season is scheduled to take place
- Wednesdays from 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM. We recommend arriving at 7:00 PM sharp on Wednesdays. The tastings BEGIN exactly at 7:15 PM.
- Saturdays from 12:30 PM. We recommend arriving at 12:15 PM sharp on Saturdays. The tastings BEGIN exactly at 12:30 PM.
Wine and Chocolate: 10/20 🍫
Join us for a guided pairing of New York State wines and artisanal hand-made chocolates, hosted by Rooftop Reds' Lead Wine Instructor, Rick Berube, and featuring the decadent creations of NYC chocolatier Milène Jardine.
Each pairing tells a story, taking you on a sensory journey to a different country. It's a perfect date night or girls night event al fresco at the world's first urban rooftop vineyard.
Wednesday pairings begin promptly at 7:00pm, but you are welcome to arrive as early as 5:00pm and order a pre-tasting glass or flight. Saturday pairings begin promptly at 12:30pm, and you are welcome to stay after the tasting and explore our full menu.
Halloween Tasting: 10/30 🍬
Are you wondering what to drink with the Butterfinger® that you sneak from your kids’ trick-or-treating stash or the candy corn left over after October 31st?
Join us for a guided pairing of New York State wines and some of your favorite Halloween candy, hosted by Rooftop Reds' Lead Wine Instructor, Rick Berubé. It's a perfect kid-free date night or girls' night event at the world's first urban rooftop vineyard.
This pairing seminar begins promptly at 7:00 pm, but you are welcome to arrive as early as 5:00 pm and explore our full menu, including hot mulled wine and tasting flights. And feel free to bring a blanket -- October nights get chilly on the roof!
Instructions to arrive:
Please enter the Navy Yard via the Sands Street gate at 299 Sands Street. Please show the barcode to the security guard at the Sands Street gate. Proceed past the gate and bear right at the stop sign--you will see Duggal on your left and the new Wegmans on your right. The building straight ahead is the building Rooftop Reds is located in, Building #275! Round the corner of the building so you are adjacent to the parking lot, and take the set of stairs (5 flights up!) to our rooftop vineyard!
